Holy Maru Maktau Avatr beat Titanic worldwide!! It beat it overseas this past weekend, but the money it made here on Monday pushed it over Titanic! Not only that, but it's poised to be the 1st film to make over 2 billion dollars.

Avatar Box Office Part IX: France Loves Avatar

Does that title sound a wee bit vauge? Well, let me blunt. Avatar is now the 1 one film of all-time overseas. It has a total right now of 1.836 million worldwide. It's only 6 million away from beating Titanic worldwide which it should do tomorrow. This film...that was thought to be "Dances With Smurfs"...is now a phenomenon. Oh, and Avatar is No. 1 film in America for 6 weeks in a row the 1st time that's happened in the 21st Century.

Avatar has now surpassed Shrek 2's 441.2 million dollars gross. This puts it as the 4th biggest film of all-time in the USA. Not only that, but it's gross now stands at a trmendous 1.3 billion worldwide. Titanic better look out. Avatar is about to beat it.

Avatar Box Office Part VII: #2 Ain't a Bad Place

Avatar has just surpassed The Reutrn of The King to become the 2nd biggest film of all-time with 1.1 billion. It's total in the US pushed it as it has now made 374 million, becoming the 12th biggest film of all-time surpassing Spider-Man 2. This film just won't stop making money. Who else wants to bet that it'll surpass Titanic?

Avatar Box Office Part VI: New Year, New Gross

Avatar continues it's plunge towards Titanic's gross, as it made 25.2 million on Friday. It was the 9th biggest Non-Opening Friday ever. The other 8 films were in their 2nd or 3rd days. Avatar is in it's 15th! This makes it the oldest film in the 39 films Box Office Mojo has tracked on Biggest Non-Opening Fridays. It's also the 3rd Fastest film to make 300 million. This film may never stop making money at this rate. And it's Oscar Nom's haven't even come in yet!

Avatar Box Office Part V: 700 Million Is So Sweet

In just a mere 12 days, Avatar has crossed over into the 700 million dollar worldwide frontier. Not only that, but it has made 250 million in 13 days in the USA alone. What an exciting development. I can't wait to see how it works out in the third weekend.

Avatar has made 39 million from IMAX 3D locatrions alone right now in only 210 theatres. THis record is amazing and will surpass The Dark Knight soon enough.

Avatar Box Office Part III: Tuesday Is A Lucky Day

Avatar continues to be successful. But yesterday was amazing. Here are the three things it accomplished:

*Helped propel 2009 to over 10 billion dollars, making it the biggest year ever and the first time we have ever hit 10 billion dollars in a year.

*Hit 100 million in 5 days. It's total gross is standing at 109 million, on par with Star Wars: Episode I which went on to make 431 million.

*Biggest of all, this was the 2nd biggest Non-Holiday Tuesday ever. Even counting holidays, it's still the 3rd biggest Tuesday ever.

Wow. Avatar really is a success. Can't wait to see it in IMAX 3D this weeekend.

Avatar Box Office Part II: Weekend Jump

Avatar didn't make 73 million this weekend. It made 77.3 million, thus putting it as the biggest December opening of allt-ime and beating Finding Nemo and The Incredibles as the biggest original films of all-time. The IMAX? Huge. Bigger than The Dark Knight.

Overall, Avatar has a nice future ahead. Plus, with Clash of the Titans recently being said to perhaps having a 3D release, well...3D may not be a fad after all.

Avatar Box Office Part I: Friday...A Grand Start

Avatar debuted to a stunning 27 million yesterday, with 3 million of that coming from midnight screenings. It could have an oepning similar to Star Treks 78 million oepning. I say 73 million because of some snowstorms. Course, down here in Texas we don't have that problem, but I hear the East does.
