Editorial: The Princess And The Dying Animaion Art

Why is it that all different movies bomb? The Princess and The Frog just flopped out of the gate and that leaves Disney animation flopping like a fish out of water. Why? Well, as I said in my review, Michael Eisnier killed off 2D, so it's been gone for 5 1/2 years, leaving CGI king of animation. Plus, all this decade evryone (including Disney themselves) took potshots at the Disney legacy. Now we have the latest in a line of gems. And it's a flop.

The thing that amazes me is that Disney Animation has been doing nothing but right. Come to think of it, Dinsey Animation right now reminds me of Ameirca. An evil guy who was very greedy has left office (George Bush = Michale Eisnier) and a birght young leader (Obama = John Lasster) who has had an imppresive track record (Mayoral Elcections = PIXAR) in trying to pick up a sinking ship (America Economy = CGI Films). Everyone is against him, yet he's still done magnificient things (Economy Up = Bolt & Prep and Landing).

Now that leader is stuck with tought decisions. Should he stay where he is or change (30,000 troops = 2D layoffs). Those last decisions mad him more un-popular than ever. So my point, out of all of this, is this: 2D is dying and we can't deny it. Even I can't. Unless, The Frog has spectacular legs. The n2D could be saved. But Lassetter has his work cut out for him if the Frog leaves when those dang Chipmunks eneter. I don't envy him.

In conclusion, keep Disney alive. How? Go se e The Princess and The Frog. Not only is it a masterpiece, you'll save a comapny in need of osme help.
