These two films relaly deserve Best Picture nominations at the Oscars. Each push boundaries in their kid film boundaries and bring fun and tears anyway. Below are what should be nominatted in the Best Picture category:

Wow. I mean...wow. The Oscar Race this year is so drab, so predictable...well there's no two ways around it. The Lovely Bones is starting to become out of the race, which is leading a few lower films to catch up. Now, here are my predictions for this years Academy Awards. Hamishing It Up At The Oscars

Hamish Hamilton (the one doing the surfer pose) will direct the Oscars this year. Come March 2nd, we will see if he can do a good job.

By the way, Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin are hosting. Duo hosting hasen't been done in a while, so this should be something quite interesting. The OScars should be fun to watch. Now if Up could just get in the Best Picture category..

The Animation Genre Is Expanding

It seems the Golden Globes found that 17 animated films are trying to get into the Best Animated Feature Category, so there will be 5 nominees!! Just last week, the Oscars noted that 22 animated films would be in the running, so we will have 5 films competing there too!!

The excitement is bubbling. In a few days I will discuss the Oscars and this category. LEt's see if something like Coraline (above) or Ponyo can take a nomination.
