Blu-Ray Review: X-Men Origins Wolverine

The X-Men franchise is an odd one. It started ok with X-Men, then became classic with X2, then good with X-Men 3 and now it's wonderful. This may not be as good as X2, but it's still good.

This time, Wolverine has a lost lover and learns that there is more to the mutant world than he ever thought..

Hugh Jackman is wonderful in this and I think he does some great work here, as does Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool. I wish Tyler Kitsh could have done more as Gambit, but that is what sequels are for, I guess. Danny Huston seems slightly wooden as Stryker, the evil mutant handler, but the same can't be said for Leiv Schrieber, who is excellent all the way through.

The visuals are ok, I think some needed more work. The main reason I liked this film though was because it has a really bad guy being the one you root for. He is an animal and he can't deny it any longer. Wolverine is the perfect embodiment of hat evil part of the human soul.

Rating: B+ or 7.7 out of 10
