Blu-Ray Review: Surrogates
Bruce Willis, like Jackie Chan and Mel Gibson, is getting on up there. So it's interesting why he'd play a cop in an action movie. That is, until you wathc hte film and realize the movie is a political thriller.
Agent Tom Greer has to investigate murders when peoples robotic bodies (or Suurogates) crash down and kill the humans controlling them. Tom becoems the 1st person in years to actually walk and interact with people. As he starts to come to terms with his wife, he soon learns about a villain that is more dangerous than anyone can imagine...
Bruce does fine here, but the film has boredom coming out of every corner. Nothing really exctiting happens (like The Book of Eli) and it feels as if they don't trust action anymore. It really feels as if the film wants to be something it can't be and overall that kills it.
Rating: 5.4 out of 10 or C
